Heavy Piece: 2021 Branding
Client: Colorado Companies to Watch
From 2018 to 2024, I had the honor of being the lead designer for Colorado Companies to Watch, where I orchestrated a wide array of visual elements—ads, presentations, name tags, table tents, banners, and signage. Each design was like a carefully placed chess piece, contributing to a larger strategy of brand visibility and recognition.
In 2021, I faced an unexpected challenge when my computer crashed, taking with it a significant portion of my earlier work. This was like losing a queen in the middle of a match—disheartening, but it also forced me to rethink my approach and adapt my strategy. Instead of dwelling on what was lost, I focused on the new opportunities ahead, much like a player who recalibrates their game after a setback.
Throughout the years, I’ve aimed to create designs that not only capture attention but also convey the essence of the brand. Each project was an opportunity to build upon the last, like advancing pawns that gradually transform into more powerful pieces as they reach the other side of the board. I hope you can see the brand’s evolution, reflecting a journey of growth and refinement.
